On 13 February 2026, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand

to Japan, presided over the Royal Thai Armed Forces Day 2026 ceremony, which this year is dedicated to the courageous, fallen soldiers, at the Hall of the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo. The ceremony was jointly organised by Group Captain Wongsawiwat Wattanawarangkurn, Air Attaché and Acting Defence Attaché, Colonel Pongsak Kiunam, Army Attaché and Acting Deputy Defence Attaché, Captain Panyasiri Meesomsote, Naval Attaché and Acting Deputy Defence Attaché, and was attended by officials from the Embassy and Team Thailand along with their spouses.

On this occasion, the Air Attaché and Acting Defence Attaché invited participants to pay respect to the Thai national anthem and delivered a tribute to the fallen soldiers, followed by a Buddhist ceremony dedicated to the courageous and selfless military personnel.
