The Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo organised the Merit-Making Ceremony on the occasion of the anniversary of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, 24 October 2026. Ms. Vipavee Rangsimaporn, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., presided over the ceremony, attended by officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand in Tokyo, along with their spouses and the Thai community in Tokyo and from neighboring prefectures. The ceremony included prayers, and alms and luncheon offering to Buddhist monks, dedicating merits to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.

After the Merit-Making Ceremony , the Chargé d’Affaires a.i., led the participants in a moment of silent prayer in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and then presented, on behalf of the participants, a sandalwood flower which will be subsequently offered
at the Royal Cremation Ceremony of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
