On 28 May 2024, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with Mr. Pavlo Orel, Chargé d'affaires of Ukraine to Thailand, who paid a courtesy call on the former's assumption of duty.

Both sides agreed to strengthen Thai-Ukrainian bilateral relations through existing mechanism such as the 4th Political Consultations between Thailand and Ukraine, as well as discussed developments in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
