On 6 June 2024, Ms. Cataleya Phatoomros, Deputy Director-General of International Organizations, joined the commemoration of World Refugee Day 2024 (on 20 June) and the launch of the 13th Refugee Film Festival, organized by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Thailand.

On this occasion, the Deputy Director-General stated that Thailand has been working closely with UNHCR and civil society partners, which have been playing crucial roles, to provide protection and assistance for displaced persons in Thailand as well as to find durable solutions for them. She also reaffirmed that everyone can play roles in expressing solidarity #WithRefugees, including by being informed, having empathy, as well as taking actions to assist refugees and displaced persons.
