​On 23 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended a gala dinner in honor of the H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, organized by the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (USCC) on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s attendance at the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The event was co-hosted by Ambassador Brian McFeeters, President and CEO of the USABC, and Mr. Joshua Walker, Chief International Affairs Officer of the USCC, and was attended by Michael DeSombre, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, and executives from more than 20 leading American companies.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the importance of the Thailand-U.S. economic partnership and presented the Government’s vision and policies for reforming Thailand’s economic system and enhancing its competitiveness. He also updated the participants on the Thailand-U.S. trade negotiations, which will bring greater stability, predictability and opportunities for businesses in both countries. Moreover, the Prime Minister invited American companies to expand investments in Thailand, particularly in target industries such as advanced electronics, artificial intelligence, digital economy, energy and agri-food. Such investments would move Thailand up the value chain, while also strengthening the long-term Thailand-U.S. economic partnership.

​The Deputy Prime Minister also attended the Prime Minister’s meeting with executives of member companies, namely Apple, Chevron, Glenfarne Group, PepsiCo, ServiceNow, Siemens Healthineers and Western Digital. They exchanged views on ways to advance Thailand’s economy and to elevate trade, investment, innovation and cooperation between Thailand and the United States.
