On 23 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, held a discussion with H.E. Mr. Mugiyanto Sipin, Vice Minister of Human Rights of Indonesia, on the occasion of the latter’s visit to Thailand.

Both sides welcomed the Strategic Partnership between Thailand and Indonesia and the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year. They exchanged views on cooperation between Thailand and Indonesia on the promotion and protection of human rights at the bilateral, regional and international levels. The discussion included Indonesia’s initiative to host the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Forum on Human Rights in 2026 and cooperation in the Human Rights Council (HRC), of which Thailand and Indonesia are current members.
