On 7 July 2025, H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a farewell call by H.E. Mr. Arman Issetov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Thailand, upon the completion of the latter’s tenure. The Vice Minister expressed his appreciation to the Ambassador for his valuable contributions to the enhancement of relations between Thailand and Kazakhstan, particularly in facilitating the exchange of high-level visits, the establishment of the Consulate of Kazakhstan in Phuket, as well as the conclusion of key bilateral agreements, including the Visa Exemption Agreement for Ordinary Passport Holders and the Agreement on Trade - Economic Cooperation.

In addition, both sides outlined plans to further deepen bilateral relations and agreed to strengthen their cooperation and mutual support in multilateral fora. The Ambassador commended Thailand’s active and constructive role, particularly in the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), ASEAN and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
