On 18 December 2025, H.E Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation with Ms. Seema Malhotra, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Indo-Pacific of the United Kingdom.

Both sides exchanged views on the Thailand - Cambodia border situation. The Vice Minister shared Thailand’s position and the latest developments, reaffirming Thailand’s commitment to peace and international law. He also informed the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State of the United Kingdom that the Minister of Foreign Affairs will attend the upcoming Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on 22 December 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, which will provide a platform for discussions on the situation. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State of the United Kingdom expressed the United Kingdom’s readiness to support de-escalation and dialogue between the two sides.
