On 4 March 2024, H.E. Mr. Park Yongmin, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, upon his assumption of duty.

On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to advance bilateral cooperation to enhance and complement one another’s economic potentials. They also encouraged exchanges of high-level visits within this year to draw more confidence among private sectors and stimulate more bilateral trade and investment, particularly in targeted industries, such as Electric Vehicles (EV), biotechnology, semiconductors, as well as collaboration on content industry to strengthen their soft power.

They also exchanged views on regional and international issues, including the situation in Myanmar and Korean Peninsula, and agreed that they would maintain closer consultations on foreign policy outlooks as well as to update views on regional developments and geopolitics.
