VFM presents Thailand’s candidature to HRC to Permanent Representatives to the UN from various countries

On 29 February 2024, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, had bilateral meetings with Ambassadors/Permanent Representatives to the UN in Geneva from various countries, including Montenegro, Austria, Monaco, and France. The discussions covered issues related to the work of the HRC and international issues of mutual interests.

On the same day, H.E. Ms. Usana Berananda, Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in Geneva, hosted a working dinner between VFM and Ambassadors/Permanent representatives to the UN in Geneva from Libya and Bahamas, Chief of Legal Services, Ministry of Justice of Namibia, Ambassador/Deputy Permanent representative of Panama to the UN in Geneva, as well as Acting Deputy Permanent Representative of Eswatini to the UN in Geneva.

VFM presented Thailand’s candidature to the HRC and shared visions of Thailand to enhance the effectiveness and credibility of the HRC, and maximize the impact of HRC's work on people's lives. VFM also reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to work with all countries and stakeholders to advance the HRC.
