Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs meets with high-level representatives of Croatia and Bulgaria

On 26 - 27 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, had discussions with high-level representatives of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Bulgaria on the sidelines of the 19th Dubrovnik Forum in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The Vice Foreign Minister met with H.E. Mr. Ivan Anušić, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, H.E. Mr. Frano Matušić, State Secretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Vedran Špehar, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy of Croatia. Both sides agreed to further strengthen Thailand - Croatia relations and cooperation at both the bilateral and multilateral levels, recognising the two countries as like-minded partners with significant potential to expand mutually beneficial cooperation. They discussed cooperation in trade, investment, business-to-business, defence industries, tourism, clean energy, information technology, logistics, and food industries. The Vice Foreign Minister also invited Croatia to participate in trade fairs in Thailand and in the Thai Food Week to be held in Zagreb from 20 - 27 September 2026, organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest. In addition, both sides agreed to push forward the inaugural Thailand - Croatia Political Consultations and exchange experiences on OECD accession, as well as reaffirmed their support for multilateral cooperation and collaboration in international organisations.

The Vice Foreign Minister also met with H.E. Ms. Ivanka Tasheva, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria. The Bulgarian side conveyed a condolence letter from Her Excellency the President of the Republic of Bulgaria to His Majesty the King on the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita. Both sides also reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation at both the bilateral and multilateral levels.
