On 27 May 2025, H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a farewell call from H.E. Mrs. Serap Ersoy, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Thailand, on the occasion of the completion of her tenure.

The Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs expressed his appreciation to the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye for her active role in strengthening relations between Thailand and Türkiye, particularly in fostering security cooperation at the bilateral level and advancing collaboration within regional and international frameworks, such as Thailand's accession process to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as well as ASEAN and Türkiye cooperation.

The Ambassador thanked Thailand for its steadfast commitment to fostering cooperation in all areas, emphasizing the shared determination to elevate bilateral relations to a strategic dialogue by 2028, as outlined in the Joint Action Plan 2023–2028 between Thailand and Türkiye.
