ตามที่เมื่อวันที่ ๒๐ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๖๐ นายฮัสซัน รูฮานี (Hassan Rouhani) ได้รับเลือกตั้งให้ดำรงตำแหน่งประธานาธิบดีสาธารณรัฐอิสลามอิหร่านเป็นสมัยที่สอง นั้น

 

พลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีถึงนายฮัสซัน รูฮานีประธานาธิบดีสาธารณรัฐอิสลามอิหร่าน ดังนี้

On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I have the honour to extend my heartfelt congratulations and my best wishes to Your Excellency on your re-election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Your impressive victory testified the confidence and trust the people of the Islamic Republic of lran have placed in you. I am confident that during your next term, you will continue your good work in leading your country on the path of peace and prosperity.

 

The Kingdom of Thailand and the lslamic Republic of Iran have enjoyed close and cordial ties for more than four centuries. I am very pleased to see that our two countries are becoming increasingly close partners in recent years. Your Excellency's official visit to Thailand in October last year symbolized the strength of our relationship and demonstrated our mutual desire to expand our cooperation. I hope to continue working closely with Your Excellency to deepen further cooperation between our two countries and peoples in all areas.
