เมื่อวันที่ 25 เมษายน 2569 นายมงคล วิศิษฏ์สตัมภ์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน และภรรยาเข้าร่วมงานวันทหารผ่านศึกออสเตรเลียและนิวซีแลนด์ (ANZAC Day) และร่วมวางพวงมาลาเพื่อไว้อาลัยและรำลึกถึงทหารออสเตรเลียและนิวซีแลนด์ที่เสียชีวิตในสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 1 และในสมรภูมิอื่น ๆ

วันที่ 25 เมษายนของทุกปี ถือเป็นวันครบรอบของการยกพลขึ้นบกครั้งแรกของกองกำลังทหารจากออสเตรเลีย และนิวซีแลนด์ รวมถึงกองกำลังฝ่ายพันธมิตรอื่น ๆ บนคาบสมุทร Gallipoli Peninsula ในปี ค.ศ. 1915 (พ.ศ. 2458) นำมาซึ่งความสูญเสียอย่างมากต่อกองกำลังทั้งฝ่ายพันธมิตรและฝ่ายตุรกี

On 25 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, Ambassador of Thailand, and Mrs. Dang Thi Tu Ha attended the National Commemoration of ANZAC Day to commemorate and lay wreaths in honour of Australian and New Zealand fallen soldiers in World Wars I and in other battlefields, at the National War Memorial in Wellington.

ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the 1915 landing of New Zealand, Australian, and other Allied forces on Gallipoli, a campaign that caused heavy losses on both the Allied and Turkish sides.
