งานเลี้ยงรับรองเนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ ๕๘ ปีการก่อตั้งอาเซียน

          เมื่อวันที่ ๑๓ สิงหาคม ๒๕๖๘ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน และคณะกรรมการอาเซียน ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน (ASEAN Committee in Wellington – ACW) ได้เป็นเจ้าภาพร่วมจัดงานเลี้ยงรับรองครบรอบ ๕๘ ปีการก่อตั้งอาเซียนและวันอาเซียน (ASEAN Day) ที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียประจำนิวซีแลนด์ โดยมี Honourable Mark Mitchell ตำแหน่ง Minister of Ethnic Communities เป็นแขกเกียรติยศ รวมถึง H.E. Mr. Grahame Morton ตำแหน่ง Deputy Secretary – Americas and Asia Group กระทรวงการต่างประเทศและการค้า รวมถึงคณะทูตานุทูต สมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรนิวซีแลนด์ ผู้แทนภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน ภาควิชาการ และชุมชนอาเซียนเข้าร่วม

          พิธีการได้มีการแสดงความเคารพต่อเพลงชาติอาเซียนและเพลงชาตินิวซีแลนด์ รวมถึงการกล่าวสุนทรพจน์ของนายกรัฐมนตรีนิวซีแลนด์  เอกอัครราชทูตเวียดนามประจำนิวซีแลนด์ในฐานะประธาน ACW  รวมถึงแขกเกียรติยศและผู้แทนระดับสูงของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและการค้า โดยได้ร่วมเฉลิมฉลองการครบรอบ ๕๘ ปีการก่อตั้งอาเซียนและการครบรอบ ๕๐ ปีความสัมพันธ์อาเซียน-นิวซีแลนด์  ซึ่งทั้งสองฝ่ายมีความสัมพันธ์ที่แน่นแฟ้นและมีความร่วมมือในหลากหลายด้าน เช่น เศรษฐกิจ การค้า การท่องเที่ยว วิชาการ และวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งมีส่วนสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างการเติบโตในภูมิภาคอินโดแปซิฟิก  นอกจากนี้ ยังได้แสดงความยินดีกับอาเซียนในโอกาสที่ติมอร์-เลสเตจะเข้าร่วมเป็นประเทศสมาชิกใหม่ของอาเซียนด้วย

          อาเซียนก่อตั้งเมื่อวันที่ ๘ สิงหาคม ๒๕๑๐ (ค.ศ. ๑๙๖๗) โดยปัจจุบันครบรอบ ๕๘ ปี ซึ่งวันอาเซียนปีนี้จัดขึ้นภายใต้แนวคิดหลัก ว่า Towards an Inclusive and Sustainable ASEAN Future เน้นย้ำความตั้งใจร่วมกันของอาเซียนในการเสริมสร้างภูมิภาคที่ไม่ทิ้งใครไว้ข้างหลังเพื่อการเจริญเติบโตร่วมกันอย่างยั่งยืน

The reception of 58^th Anniversary of ASEAN Day

On 13 August 2025, the Ambassador of Thailand, together with the ASEAN Committee in Wellington (ACW), co-hosted a reception to celebrate the 58^th anniversary of ASEAN Day at the High Commission of Malaysia in Wellington.

The event was attended by the Honourable Mark Mitchell, Minister of Ethnic Communities, as the Guest of Honour, and H.E. Mr. Grahame Morton, Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Attendees included member of diplomatic corps, New Zealand Members of Parliament, and representatives from government agencies, private sectors, academic institutions, and ASEAN communities in New Zealand.

The ceremony featured the playing of ASEAN and New Zealand national anthems, followed by remarks from the Prime Minister of New Zealand (via video message), the Ambassador of Viet Nam (Chairman of ACW), the Guest of Honour, and the Deputy Secretary. The event also marked the 50^th Anniversary of ASEAN - New Zealand relations, underscoring the strong partnership, with various areas of cooperation, including trade, tourism, education, and cultural exchanges that contribute to the mutual growth of the Indo-Pacific region. The ceremony also acknowledged ASEAN’s welcoming of Timor-Leste as its future member.

ASEAN was founded on 8 August 1967, and this year’s ASEAN Day was held under the theme “Towards an Inclusive and Sustainable ASEAN Future,” emphasizing the shared commitment to building a region with inclusiveness and sustainable growth for all communities.
