Message of the Prime Minister to the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China on the situation caused by the spread of Coronavirus

Following the situation caused by the spread of Coronavirus in the People’s Republic of China, H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent message of condolence and sympathy to H.E. Mr. Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, on 31 January 2020 as follows:
 
Excellency,
 
            On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand,  I wish to extend to Your Excellency, and through you, to those who have lost loved ones to the Coronavirus, our sincere condolences and deepest sympathies. 
  Thailand and China share a close and special bond of friendship. Indeed, we are “two lands, one heart” (Zhong Tai Yi Jia Qin). Therefore, I wish to convey our moral support and spirited encouragement to the People’s Republic of China in dealing with this challenging situation. Thailand has full confidence that your leadership and guidance, together with the resilience of the Chinese people, will enable China to overcome this situation and emerge stronger as a result.  
           Moreover, Thailand highly appreciates that China has extended its generosity towards the care of Thai nationals in Wuhan and in other affected areas during this challenging time. In this connection, I wish to reaffirm the readiness of the Royal Thai Government to assist China in any way possible to help alleviate the situation. 
           Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
