30 May 2008, Mr. Noppadon Pattama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, presided over the opening ceremony of JTEPA: Thai Exports to Japan Fair. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Suvidhya Simaskul, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, and Mr. Hideaki Kobayashi, Japanese Ambassador to Thailand.
