On 13 August 2009, Mr. Kasit Piromya and Datuk Anifah Aman, the respective Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and Malaysia, co-chaired the 2nd meeting of the Committee on Joint Development Strategy for border areas (JDS) and the 11th meeting of the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation, in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.
