On 1 July 2010, the second day of his official visit to the Peoples Republic of China to attend the celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Peoples Republic of China, Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya met with Foreign Minister and several other senior officials of China. He also presided over the opening ceremony of the 2010 Thai Festival and attended the dinner to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Sino-Thai diplomatic relations.
