On 5 August 2010, at the Foreign Ministry, Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met a group of representatives from various labor unions in Thailand led by Mr. Chalee Loysoong, coordinator, who would like to seek the Foreign Ministrys support for Thailand to ratify the International Labor Organizations Conventions, namely the Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organize Convention, 1948 (No. 87) and the Right to Organize and Collective Bargaining Convention, 1949 (No. 98).
