On 17 August 2010, Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered an opening remark at the Roundtable Discussion on Global Economic Crisis and the Asia-Pacific Region: Sustaining Asian Dynamism in a Post-Crisis World at the United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok, jointly organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the Club de Madrid and the Casa Asia. The event was attended by a number of prominent figures, namely Ms. Noeleen Heyzer, Executive Secretary of ESCAP, Mr. Wim Kok, President of Club de Madrid, and Mr. Jesus Sanz, Director-General of Casa Asia.
