On 19th August 2011, Mr. Surapong Tovichakchaikul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, attended the dinner reception on the occasion of the 6th People to People Conference of ASEAN and China Friendship Associations at the Arnoma Hotel. On this occasion, Foreign Minister Surapong delivered a speech and emphasized the increasing role of people to people diplomacy in foreign policy. He also admired the government and people of China and ASEAN member countries in cultivating friendship and broadening cooperation at the people to people level through the establishment of the friendship associations in ASEAN countries with China.
