On 1 August 2012, Mr. Luc Stevens, the new United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Representative to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Surapong Tovichakchaikul, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and submitted the Letter of Accreditation from Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, UN Secretary General and Mrs. Helen Clark, UNDP Administrator, to Foreign Minister Surapong, who accepted on behalf of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
