On 21 August 2012, Mr. Surapong Tovichakchailul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, on behalf of the Government and people of Thailand, presented financial assistance of USD 100,000 to the Philippines Government for the relief of floods and destruction caused by the Typhoon Saola and the Southwest monsoon. The financial assistance was handed-over to Mr. Edgar B. Badajos, Chargé d’ affaires of the Embassy of the Philippines in Bangkok
