On 14 Dec 2555 Dr. Itti Ditbanjong, Thai Ambassador to Russia received the delegation headed by Associate Professor Witawat Rungruangphon and the researcher team from Thammasat University Research and Consultancy Institute. They discussed and exchanged  views on essentials and in-depth information for the research project on "Thailand gems and jewelry trade opportunities in Russia".  Participating at the discussion were the Director of the Thai Foreign Trade Office in Moscow and relevant officers.

 

     Currently, gems and jewelry trading has been one of the main focus for the Team Thailand in Moscow.  The higher export of the products to Russia will be another source of potential income for Thailand. The products are also considered convenient for transportation and in such a popular demand for the Russian market with high purchasing power.

 

     The Thammasat researcher team will be able to conclude their recommendation on marketing strategies and practices in the jewelry market penetration into Russia by the end of June 2013.
