During 15-16 February, 2013, H.E. Warawuch Chuwiruch, Thai Ambassador to the UAE, led the delegation of the Royal Thai Embassy on the Mobile Consular Service 2013 in the city of Al Ain, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. On 15 February, 2013, the Ambassador and the delegation went to visit 30 Thai-Muslim students at Scientific and Islamic Institute to tighten relations and exchange views on various issues. The Ambassador enquired them about their well being as well as their academic performance and the scholarship they had received from the UAE government. The Embassy had brought food, such as boxes of instant noodles to the students. The Embassy also informed the students about their participation in the enhancing social experience and instilling Islamic values project which would involve an excursion trip to Saudi Arabia for Umrah practice.
Afterwards, the Ambassador and the delegation had a working dinner with Mr. Yousef Al Buhushi, Director of Scientific and Islamic Institute. Mr. Buhushi informed that Thai students were provided with comprehensive scholarship by the Institute, which included tuition and accommodation fees, meals, book supplies, monthly allowance of 500 Dirhams and an annual return air ticket to Thailand. Students with outstanding grade may also receive scholarship to study at UAE University. Both sides discussed about upcoming student activities including group excursion trips, monthly meeting and friendly sport matches. The Ambassador took the opportunity to thank Mr. Buhushi and said that as a well-developed, moderate Islamic country which offers general education along with religious teaching, the UAE represent an excellent education alternative for Muslim students from Thailand.
On 16 February, 2013, the Ambassador led the delegation visited Thai employees at “Thai Spa”, a famous spa in Al Ain, which serves not only female customers, but also female members of royal family at their Al Ain Palace.
