Royal Thai Embassy in Lisbon, together with nine Royal Thai Embassies in Europe, jointly organized the project “Mobile Dhamma Service for Thai Community” from 2 March to 23 April 2013. The purpose of this project was to provide to the Thai Community in Portugal and some other countries in Europe an opportunity to listen to Dhamma Talk and practice meditation, conducted by Phra Ajarn Chanchai Adhipanyo (Ravirungsima), founder of Rom Aram Dhamma Satan Meditation Center in Pratum Thani Province.

The Project started in Portugal where Phra Ajarn Chanchai gave Dhamma teaching and meditation lesson to the Thai community in Lisbon between 3-6 March 2013, with the kind support of Budismo Theravada da Floresta offering space of the Theravada Vihara in Lisbon for the activity. From 7-10 March 2013, Phra Ajahn Chanchai, together with H.E. Ambassador Chakorn Suchiva and the Embassy’s diplomats went to the Southern part of Portugal in  Algarve and Alentejo to visit and give dhamma experiences to the Thai labour community working in the agricultural farms. Phra Ajarn Chanchai and the Embassy’s diplomats went on to visit Porto on 12-15 March 2013 and offered Dhamma and meditation lesson to Thai community and post-graduate students in Porto and nearby cities, with kind collaboration of Mr. Rui Ribeiro, Honorary Consul of Thailand to Porto who offered his office space for the activity.
