On 1 April 2013, His Excellency Dr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation, together with diplomats from the Royal Thai Embassy, welcomed and discussed with the delegation of the Research Study Project on the Promotion of Rights of the Alleged Offenders in Efficient Criminal Inquiry, led by Mrs. Suwana Suwanjuta, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Justice and representatives from other authorities, namely, the Royal Thai Police, the Comptroller General, the Lawyer Council of Thailand under the Royal Patronage, and faculty members of Mahidol University.

As a part of this trip, the Royal Thai Embassy has coordinated and arranged for the meetings of the delegation with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, Moscow State University (MGU), and the Office of Internal Affairs of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast during 1 - 6 April 2013, as well as provided key factual information about the Russian Federation. The study visit is bound to initiate and strengthen Thai-Russian network both on government and academic sides, which will contribute to the progress of Thai judicial administration in the future.
