On 20 April 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy has started its first Thai cooking class in Cairo at the Culinary Training Center, Akhbar Alyoum Academy, 6th October City.  The intensive Thai cooking course lasted for almost six hours starting from 10.00 -15.00. Around thirty-five Egyptian students who are currently taking culinary training courses at the academy participated in the Thai cooking class.  Four Thai chefs from Bua Khao Thai restaurant in Cairo are the trainers making authentic six-seven Thai dishes.  After cooking demonstration by the chefs, the trainers separated students into a group of four per one cooking station.  They started to make Thai dishes according to the recipes and what they learnt from the chefs. If the dish did not taste as same as the sample ones made by the chefs, students have to redo the dish again.  

 

     The Royal Thai Embassy was pleased to present a certificate of participation for all attending students.  The Certificate Presentation Ceremony was hosted by the ambassador of Thailand, H.E. Chalit Manityakul.  Students also received an apron especially designed for this occasion and a book of Secrets to Thai Cooking.
