     Team Thailand in Chile led by H.E. Ambassador Surapon Petch-vra and the Technological  University of Chile - INACAP, Punta Arenas Campus, jointly organized "Thailand Roadshow in Chile 2013" from 24-26 April 2013 in Punta Arenas, the southernmost city of Chile.
     The Roadshow, attended by approximately 400 participants, started with a presentation on various perspectives of Thailand by the Ambassador and the Director of Thai Trade Center in Santiago and a talk on the experiences in Thailand about Thai traditional massage by Ms. Sonia Alvarez, a Chilean therapist of Thai traditional massage.  
     The activities were also inclusive of Thai film show (Tom Yum Koong and Kon Khon), Thai massage sessions and demonstration of Thai cooking (Pork Canape, Beef Panaeng Curry Served with Steamed Jasmine Rice and Pumpkin in Syrup as dessert).  
On this occasion, the Ambassador also paid courtesy calls on and met with the Intendant of the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region, the Mayor of the city of Punta Arenas (a.i.), the Vice Rector of INACAP, Punta Arenas Campus, the President of Magallanes Chamber of Commerce, the President of Association of Importers and Exporters Free Trade Chamber of Magallanes, General Manager of ZonAustral to discuss and exchange opinions on how to promote a closer relation between the people of Thailand and the people in the South of Chile. 
     Meanwhile, the Ambassador donated publications about Thailand to the libraries of INACAP, Punta Arenas Campus and the Municipality of Punta Arenas. The book donation is part of the Embassy’s project, “Thai Corner”, to provide more sources of knowledge and a better understanding about Thailand to the people in the South of Chile.
