On Sunday 5 May 2013, Mr. Chakri Srichawana, Thai Consul-General, gave an opening remark at “Labour’s Day 2013 in Hong Kong” at Carpenter Road Park, Kowloon City. Mr. Steven D. Tait, Superintendent of Police of Kowloon City Division of Hong Kong Police Force, Mr. Kitman Cheung, Chairman of Hong Kong Employment Agencies association Limited, LCDR. Wittawat Khuprasert, Labour Consul and Ms. Palida Karkum, Labour Vice-Consul, also joined the opening ceremony. Activities are comprised of (1) Parades (2) Motto competition (3) Traditional sport competition (4) “Consulate’s Cup” football match (5) Cultural performances (6) Thai food stalls (7) Cooking demonstration (8) Handicrafts demonstration booths from Thai Associations and Communities in Hong Kong. Around 120 people attended to this event.
