On 25 May 2013, Ambassador Chirachai Punkrasin attended the inauguration of the V Feria de las Culturas Amigas which was presided over by Mr. Miguel Angel Mancera, the Mayor of Mexico City. The Feria de las Culturas Amigas is Mexico City’s largest cultural fair which is organized every year on the city’s main avenue – Paseo de la Reforma – with the participation of over 80 diplomatic representations and the average attendance of 1.5 million visitors.

At Thailand Booth, the Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico, together with the Thai Community and Friends of Thailand, have joined hands to organize various activities to showcase Thai culture and Thainess such as Thai cuisine, Thai fruit carving demonstration, Thai massage, Write-Your-Name-in-Thai, Tourism Information, as well as Quiz on Thailand as a way to promote the Embassy’s Facebook Page.

The Embassy has also received support from the Muay Thai Associations in Mexico who will perform Muay Thai shows in various sites during the 2-week long festival.
