On 11 June 2556 the Royal Thai Consulate- General in Chennai in collaboration with the Leela Palace Hotel , a luxury 5 star hotel in the city of Chennai, India, jointly organized a Thai food cooking demonstration by Chef from Thailand which aims to promote Thailand through authentic Thai food, as well as to make known of Thai food products and ingredients throughout the world market.

Mrs. Rachanida Charanvatnakit, wife of Thai Consul -General hosted the event and  presented the Thai cook book named  "Secrets to Thai Cooking" to all the invitees.

The Thai food cooking has been demonstrated by Thai Chef, Ms. Nisa Yumthong. The Thai chef has showed to selected VIP ladies of Chennai how to cook authentic Thai dishes which are popular cuisine  known to  gourmets around the world. The six Thai delicious dishes demonstrated were  Som Tam, Tom Yam Gung, Green Chicken Curry, Pad Thai, Pla Sam Rod and Tup Tim Grob.

All the Invited guests including Consul -General of Malaysia, wife of all Consul -General in Chennai , were impressed and appreciated the unique and delicious Thai food using authentic ingredient from Thailand and especially cooked by Thai Chef.
