On 30 April 2013, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand, to Sweden attended the 35th Informal Meeting of ASEAN Heads Diplomatic of Missions Meeting chaired by the Malaysian Ambassador at his Residence.  Attending the meeting were the Ambassador of Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Charge d’Affaires of Lao to Sweden.  The meeting discussed activities to promote the awareness of ASEAN in Sweden such as sport events and visits to prominent public sectors and private sectors in Sweden.

During this occasion, the chairmanship of the ASEAN Informal Group in Stockholm was passed on from the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Ambassador of Thailand who will assume the chairmanship from May – October 2013.
