On 5 June 2013, Mr.  Marut Jitpatima, Ambassador of Thailand toSingapore,  and Madame  Jiraporn Jitpatima  attended,  as  guests of  honour, 

the  gala premier  of  the Thai movie  “Pee Mak” at  Golden  Village cinema   in  Vivo City shopping mall.   Also present  at  the  event   included   members   of  Team  Thailand  in Singapore,   Mr. Yongyoot Thongkongtoon, Senior  Director   of  International  Business, GTH,  Mr. Banjong Pisanthanakun,  the film director, and  Miss Davika Hoorne, the leading actress.

     Pee Mak is a romance, horror and comedy film, adapted from the “Mae Nak Phrakhanong”  legend  of  Thai folklore.    Apart from Singapore, the

 film  is screening  in  a number of  Asian  countries,  including  Indonesia and Hong Kong.  The movie  has  broken  box   office  records   and   become   an all-time highest grossing  film  in Thailand’s  history,  collecting  more  than  33 million US dollars in Bangkok and major cities.
