     On 1 - 2 August 2013, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, and his wife, Viyada, travelled to Kiruna, a town in the northern part of Sweden (953 kilometers from Stockholm) to meet 50 Thai people at Sailom Restaurant.  H.E. the Ambassador gave a remark by asking the Thai people to join hands, help each other and form a strong Thai community in Kiruna.  H.E. the Ambassador also visited Thai grocery shop and other Thai restaurants. 
     Following the visit to Kiruna, H.E. Ambassador Somchai and the embassy’s staff went on to Luleå, another town in the northern part of Sweden (726 kilometers from Stockholm) on 2 - 4 August 2013 to provide a mobile consular service.  There were a large number of Thais coming for the services. 
     In addition, on 3 August 2013, H.E. Ambassador Somchai, Mrs. Viyada, wife of the Ambassador, and the staff attended Thailand Festival 2013 at Hägnan - Friluftsmuseet i Gammelstad, an open-air museum in Luleå.  The festival featured delicious Thai food, Thai souvenirs and Thai cultural performances.  H.E. Ambassador and Mayor of Luleå jointly opened the Festival and then visited Thai food stalls and shops.
