On 18th August 2013, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Hong Kong organised the Celebration of the 81st Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit at the Regal Oriental Hotel, Kowloon City. On this auspicious occasion, the Consul-General led Team Thailand and the Thai community in Hong Kong in bidding their warmest congratulations to Her Majesty the Queen for Her Majesty’s Birthday Anniversary. In addition, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, in collaboration with the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, set up a mobile consular unit at the event to provide services to the Thai people residing in Hong Kong. An approximate number of 200 Thais received various consular services, ranging from a passport issuance, legal assistance, as well as physical and mental check-ups by the medical team from Suanprung Hospital, Lerdsin Hospital and Rajanukul Institute, Department of Mental Health, Ministry of Public Health. Both activities provided the Thai people in Hong Kong with an opportunity to express their loyalty to Her Majesty the Queen as well as strengthen the relations and unity of the Thai community in Hong Kong.
