On 17 August 2013, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, and his wife, Viyada, along with the Embassy’s staff attended the celebration of the National Mother’s Day at Värmdöbygdegård, Stockholm.

     H.E. Ambassador Somchai led the participants in merit-making activities as well as offered food alms to monks.  Following the religious ceremony,     H.E. Ambassador Somchai joined the Thai community to sing Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s anthem and wished Her Majesty the Queen a greatest happiness and healthiness on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty’s Birthday on 12 August.  The Thai community also had an opportunity to extend their blessings in a signing book to Her Majesty the Queen.
