Consul-General of Thailand in Mumbai joined the inauguration of Global Ganesh Mahotsav 2013

On 9 September 2013, Consul-General joined the inauguration ceremony of Global Ganesh Mahotsav 2013. The event was organised by Lodha Foundation at Gilder Tank Ground, Mumbai. The ceremony marked the first day of Ganesh Chaturthi Festival.
This year, the foundation replicated Ganesh idols from all over the world including Thailand. The Ganesh idol was replicated from Wat Phra That Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, a province in the north of Thailand.
During his congratulatory remarks, Consul-General emphasised the close cultural ties and strong relationship between Thailand and India.
