On 21 September 2013, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Dubai, invited guest speakers from the Thai Trade Center, Mrs. Supaporn Wan A-Loh, Consul (Commercial Section), Mr. Akravut Tangsirikusolwong, Chairman of the Thailand Business Council to Dubai and the Northern Emirates and Mr. Fakih N. P., Managing Director of the Fakih Group of Companies, to share their experiences with the students from the Culture and Society (Thai Studies) course at the University of Dubai.

     The informative session, under the topic "Economic and Trade Relations between the United Arab Emirates and Thailand" , was well received by students with various backgrounds ranging from business and management major to finance. 

     The special lecture was organized as a part of the curriculum under the Culture and Society (Thai Studies) course, which was jointly initiated  by the University of Dubai and the Consulate-General  as a continuation of last year's success with the Thailand Fan Club: Thai - UAE Cultural Exchange and Environmental Awareness Programme for UAE Youth, which was fully sponsored by the Consulate-General.
