On 5 October 2013, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charabasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, his wife, Mrs. Viyada, and the embassy’s staff attended Raksiam Thai Festival 2013 at Tumba Folkets Hus, Tumba.  The event was organized by Raksiam Association in Sweden with the support from the Royal Thai Embassy, the Office of Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Office of Thai Airways in Stockholm.  

     In his opening remarks, H.E. Ambassador Somchai commended the Thai community in Tumba for the establishment of Raksiam Association to conserve Thai culture and introduce it to Sweden, as well as its solidarity to organize the event and efforts to strengthen Thai community, which the Royal Thai Embassy is pleased to give its full support.

The festival featured Thai cultural performances, delicious Thai food, Thai souvenirs, a Junior Miss Raksiam contest and lucky draws.  On the occasion, H.E. Ambassador Somchai and his wife also visited the stalls.
