On 14 November 2013, the Thai Ladies Association of Dubai and the Northern Emirates, with the support from the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Team Thailand and the Thai Community in Dubai, organized the Loy Krathong Festival 2013 to mark one of Thailand's most celebrated traditions at the Westin Mina Seyahi Hotel, Dubai.

     The event, which welcomed more than 150 guests, opened with a speech by Mr. Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn, Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, explained the tradition behind one of the most celebrated festivals, as well as the belief of paying respect and gratitude to the river, a vital part of the Thai life style.  

     Loy Krathong Festival 2013 was celebrated with Thai classical dances, Thai delicacies, lucky draws and beauty pageant.
