On 6 December 2013, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore designated Ms.Phasporn Sangasubana, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, and Mr. Kittana Srisuriya, Counsellor (Labour Affairs), to attend the Finale of Sunburst Youth Camp 2013 at the RELC International Hotel, Singapore. The representatives of the Embassy expressed admiration and commended the academic talents and accomplishment of the 8 youth representatives from Thailand who joined this year’s programme. These youths were selected by the Association of the Scholars of the Development and Promotion of Science and Technology Talents, supported by Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology of Thailand. In this year’s Finale, the 8 representatives of Thai youth performed the elegant Thai dance through modern music which displayed a distinct character and culture of Thailand in the contemporary world. 

     Sunburst Youth Camp 2013 was organized by the Singapore Technologies Endowment Programme (STEP), a charity set up by Singapore Technologies Private Ltd (STPL), between 1-7 December 2013 in Singapore. The main objective is to have “Young Leaders of Asia”, aged between 16-18 years, to work, share, build the good understanding and bond with friendship. This year’s final award is shared by the Thai youth together with the teammates from various countries. The representatives from the youth of Thailand are from Yupparaj Royal College in Chiang Mai, Benjamarachutit School in Nakorn Si Thammarat Province, Hatyaiwittayalai School in Sonkhla Province, Phrapathom Witthayalai School in Nakorn Prathom Province, Kaennakhon Wittayalai School in Kon Kaen Province and Suranari Witthaya School in Nakorn Rachasima Province.
