On 30 November 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar participated in the International Kermesse 2013, which was organized at the Residence of the Ambassador of Lebanon to Senegal by the Committee of Spouses of Diplomats accredited to Senegal (Comité d’Assistance des Epoux et Epouses des Diplomates Accrédités au Sénégal – CAEDAS) and open to the public.

            During the event, the Thai Embassy offered “Thai Chicken Red Curry with Bamboo Shoot” and “Thai Hom-Mali Rice” for sale and demonstrated how to cook two famous Thai dishes, namely Thai Chicken Salad (Larb Gai) and Green Papaya Salad (Som Tam). The event attendees were invited to taste and purchase these Thai dishes where all proceeds from the sale were given to the organizing committee for its charity activities.

            The purpose for participating in this event was to disseminate knowledge about Thai cuisine to the diplomatic community and general public in Senegal. The Royal Thai Embassy’s stand was very well attended.
