Long live our beloved King – The Royal Thai Embassy in Prague celebrated the auspicious occasion of the 86th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand on 5 December 2013 by hosting a reception at Ambassador Zlata Husa Hotel in Prague. The event welcomed more than 400 guests, including Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic and renowned former First Lady of the Czech Republic. The Thai community in the Czech Republic and many ‘friends of Thailand’ lighted hundreds of candles to pay homage to His Majesty the King while singing ‘Sadudee Maharaja’ song (Praise for the King and Queen) and ‘Praraja Poosongtham’ song. The Embassy also prepared silver and golden leaves for the guests to make wishes for His Majesty the King as one of the highlight of the event. Moreover, the Embassy also treated every guest with special moment of delightful Thai cuisine and sweets, as well as the compositions of His Majesty the King played by pianist and saxophonist especially organized for this evening.
