On 3 December 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lisbon hosted a reception on the auspicious occasion of the 86th  Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and the National Day of Thailand at Hotel Marriott Lisboa. Around 200 guests attended the event, including high-ranking representatives from the Portuguese authorities, government officials, diplomatic corps, businessmen, representative from cultural and educational sectors, local media and members of Thai community in Portugal.
