On December 17, 2013 Mr. Adirek Sripratak, President and CEO of Charoen Pokphan Foods Public Company Limited, together with the CPF’s executives including Mr. Buree Srina, CPF – Russia General Director paid courtesy call upon H.E. Dr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation at the Royal Thai Embassy, Moscow. Mrs. Kalayanee Sirikul, Minister (commercial affairs) also attended the meeting.
Mr. Sripratak informed that the CPF - Russia is currently operating pig farming business in 5 Russian cities, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Kursk and Nizhny Novgorod with its Headquarter in Moscow City. The CPF’s business goal in Russia is to launch its full service of food business by opening the grocery stores of CP processing products as in Thailand, as well as to import and distribute CP ready-to-eat products in all major chains of Russian supermarkets.
On this occasion, the CPF executives were interested in the recommendations of H.E. the Ambassador of Thailand with regards to the marketing scheme for the promotion of Thai products in Russia.
In particular, those include the launching of the supermarkets for Thai products in Moscow, as well as the marketing campaign of Thai products in Pattaya and Phuket which are the most popular tourist destinations among the Russian tourists. The Russians traveling Thailand are expected to reach 1.6 million in 2013.
