At 15.00 hrs. Police Captain Chalerm Yubamrung, Minister of Labour and the Director of the Center for Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) briefed the press on the outcome of the meeting of the CMPO earlier in the day, gist as follows:

Following its operation at the Government House compound, the CMPO found many illegal items such as firearms, weapons, and drugs. Many protesters with arrest warrants were also found hiding at the venue. The CMPO reaffirmed that it carried out the operation without the use of force, following the instructions from the Prime Minister.

From next week, the CMPO will carry out operations at 5 venues: Government House, the Chaeng Watthana protest site, Ratchadamnoen Avenue, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Energy. The CMPO encouraged the protesters in the said areas to leave the sites and join protesters at the Pathumwan or Lumpini Park sites. The CMPO will take legal action against protesters who refuse to leave, following standard international practices.
