On 10th and 18th April 2014 respectively, The Consul-General of Thailand to Antananarivo, Mr. Chanchai JIAMBOONSRI, had an official meeting with Mr. Lantomanana ANDRIAMAHERY, Director General of Chamber of Commerce, Industry and handicraft of Madagascar and Mr. Joahary RAJOSEFA, Director of Economic Development Board of Madagascar-EDBM. In this connection, the Malagasy Authorities reiterated  useful information on the particular area of investment that the Malagasy side required from the Thai investors  as follows:  Mining, Tourism, Agro-Business, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME),  the development of local handicraft,  the development of National Infrastructure:  Road,  Building and Airport.  Moreover, The Royal Thai Consulate-General initiates a working plan to cooperate closely with the Malagasy Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Board of Madagascar to arrange business matching in Thailand in the near future.
