On 20 April 2014, Mr. Loechai Jantarasombat, Chargé d’ Affaires a.i. of Thailand,  participated in 2nd ASEAN Food Festival organized by ASEAN Islamabad Committee (AIC) at the Indonesian Embassy, Islamabad. The event featured cultural performances, traditional arts and handicrafts, as well as national ASEAN cuisines. The Thai community and Thai students in Islamabad also participated in cultural performances and assisted the Embassy in food preparation such as Thai papaya salad, Pad Thai, and Tom Yam Gai (Thai chicken soup). The event was well attended by over 300 people comprising diplomats, high-ranking officials of the Pakistani government, Pakistani businessmen and their families.
